Google 終於發布 Android 15 正式版本，將替手機帶來諸多新功能！首批將由 15 款 Pixel 手機在下月搶先升級。
根據 Google 最新公告，已經正式 Android 15 穩定版本加入 Android（AOSP）開源專案，讓所有人都能查看原始程式碼，或是用於程式開發。未來幾週將會優先把 Android 15 版本推送給 Pixel 手機，並在幾個月之後，陸續提供給三星、榮耀、iQOO、聯想、motorola、Nothing、OnePlus、Oppo、realme、夏普、索尼、Tecno、vivo 和小米等指定機型。
日前 Android 15 Beta 4.2 版本更新之中，Google 就曾透露 Android 15 的發布時間是在十月，屆時包含 Pixel 6、Pixel 6 Pro、收購手機Pixel 6a、Pixel 7、Pixel 7 Pro、Pixel 7a、Pixel 8、Pixel 8 Pro、Pixel 8a、Pixel Fold、Pixel Tablet，以及全新的 Pixel 9、Pixel 9 Pro、Pixel 9 Pro XL、Pixel 9 Pro Fold 都會在升級名單之中。
Android 15 主要聚焦於隱私保護，新增可以鎖定指定 App 的「私人空間」，想要開啟需要輸入密碼或是通過指紋辨識，讓機密資料多一層保護，也會有類似 iOS 的「防盜機制」，遠端鎖定遺失的手機，讓竊賊無法轉賣，以及讓手機能夠根據環境調整振動強度的「自適應振動」功能。

Google稍早發布了Android 15 beta 4.1，主要修復Pixel手機在通話時的聲音故障問題，而Google此舉，似乎暗示距離Android 15正式版發布不遠了。
Google公告，現有多達11款Pixel設備可升級至Android 15 beta 4.1，但用戶需加入Android Beta計畫。這11款Pixel設備包括Pixel 8a、 8、8 Pro、7a、7 Pro、 7、 6a、6 Pro、6，以及Pixel Fold摺疊機和Pixel Tablet平板。
由於Android 15 beta 4.1僅修正通話聲音這一項小錯誤，顯示Android 15正式版已經接近完成。Google預計於8月14日推出Pixel 9系列，新機將預裝Android 15，屆時或許會一併公布Android 15正式版開放更新的消息。按照慣例，上述的Google11款Pixel設備將優先獲得升級的機會。
